Magic the Gathering Stuff!
What is Magic the Gathering?
Magic the Gathering is a collectable card
game. What this means is you must buy cards from the game, desighn
a deck to play with and find an opponent to play against. You can
play anywhere from 1 opponent to 637389 thousand...(as many as youd like).
You can trade cards to make your decks better, buy single cards.
Magic the Gathering is the funnest activity that I have ever found, it
lets you meet lots of people, make friends, it makes you think and its
a whole dang lot of fun.
How to start playing Magic
This is only my opinion. To learn the
basic concepts of the game I would definitly recomend to buy a Portal starting
kit. This includes I believe 2 decks, a nice rule book and some other
things. Once you have learned the concepts I would recomend starting
out with buying 1 Starter Deck of 5th edition, 2 boosters of 5th
edition and 2 boosters of any other set. Than its really your decision
on how much money you spend.
Gen Con
Gen Con is the best thing that could happend
to a Magic the Gathering player. It is a convention that is held
once a year in Milwaukee Wisconsin, they have Magic, Starwars, Startrek
and tons of other stuff. Plus thousands of people to play with, tournaments,
tons of fun! Gen Con '99 is August 5-8. I might recomend that
you reserve hotel rooms at least 3 months in advance. And you have

New Sets
I don't know about the rest of you but I
think Wizards of the Coast is coming out with sets at a really fast rate,
in my opinion this is creating more problems. Because people are
tricked into buying new cards because you have to keep up with the game.
But its ok, I really like Urzas Legacy. How about you?
Trade Cards
I would be willing to trade cards.
Just send me a list of the cards you would like, and I will look through
my cards and see what I got. Than I will send you a list of cards
that I want. I will also sell cards if you would like.
